Sarajevo Back at the Heart of Regional MMA: SFC Returns with Explosive Matchups

Sarajevo is once again becoming a regional MMA hotspot as the Sarajevo-based MMA Fighter Academy prepares to host the fifth amateur MMA tournament, SFC 5, on February 8.

This event offers a prime platform for rising MMA talents from across the region to gain valuable cage experience before stepping into the professional ranks.

As with previous editions, SFC 5 will take place at the “Srce” Sports Hall in Buća Potok, but this time the electric atmosphere won’t be limited to the arena. The entire event will be streamed live and free of charge via the Buzzer app, the tournament’s main sponsor.

Official weigh-ins for registered fighters will be held in the morning, from 8:00 to 10:00 AM. The tournament begins at 3:00 PM with an intense bracket-style elimination featuring a high volume of fights, where only the toughest advance.

The night then builds toward the main event at 8:00 PM, when the finalists step into the cage for the biggest and most anticipated bouts of the evening.

Amateur tournaments like SFC play a crucial role in the development of MMA fighters, serving as a key stepping stone in their careers. They also strengthen connections within the MMA community while promoting discipline, respect, and true sportsmanship.
