Enzo Fernandez is Real Madrid boss Jose Mourinho's ideal midfield signing, according to Spanish publication AS.
The 25-year-old joined Chelsea for £105m in 2023, and is under contract at the London club until 2032. Chelsea want more than £100m for the Argentina international.
Mourinho reportedly wants to bring in a box-to-box midfielder this summer after the arrivals of Bernardo Silva, Marc Cucurella and Ibrahima Konate were confirmed.
As another option, Real Madrid have been working on a deal for Manchester United target Mateus Fernandes, who is valued at £80m, and shares the same agent as Jose Mourinho.
The Portuguese head coach is also pushing to sign another central defender, with fellow countryman Ruben Dias among the list of names mentioned by the Spanish outlet.
